Will it hurt?
Most procedures are well tolerated with only minimal discomfort. Depending on each procedure usually a combination of both local anesthetic and moderate sedation are used.
Is the procedure safe?
While each procedure has its own risks and benefits, generally they are safer than alternatives such as surgery.
How long does it take?
Most procedures take between 1-2 hours.
Am I suitable?
Since each procedure and patient is different after a full consultation with your interventionists your suitability for a particular procedure can be determined.
Can I drive after a procedure?
If you receive moderate sedation for your procedure then you will need someone to drive you home. For most procedures it is safe to resume driving the following day. It is best to discuss this with your interventionist during your consultation.
When can I get back to work?
One of the main advantages of the procedures performed by DuPage Interventional is the minimal down time usually required. For most procedures patients are able to return to work with one to two days.
